User Options Overview

User OptionsCrystal CMS provides an easy mechanism for managing logon accounts to the secure control panel. The user account options are accessible via the menu to the left in the control panel.

There are effectively two role levels of user accounts in the Crystal CMS system:

1) Website Manager Role - this is the role assigned to the user account that first created or requested creation of the blank empty Crystal CMS website. Users with the website manager role have the ability to create new Website Author role users in
Ultimate subscription level Crystal CMS websites.

2) Website Author Role - this is the role assigned to new user accounts created in the system to manage web content for a specific Crystal CMS website. Users with the Website Author role are created by users with the Website Manager role.

Regardless of the role your user account is currently in, you always have the ability to manage your own user account.
