The right hand column of Crystal CMS websites can be populated with a special type of content called rotating content or rotators. You can see rotators in action to the right of this page now.
The rotating content feature in Crystal CMS is enabled at Professional subscription levels and above and it has a number of benefits that are worth noting:
- Rotators once configured will automatically display themselves in your website on an time based interval that you define in the control panel.
- A single rotator provides an image and also a text description hyperlink to either one of your own webpages in your Crystal CMS website or to a webpage outside of your website.
- An individual rotator can be configured to expire in a number of different ways:
- No expiry - the rotator is permanent
- Expiry by date - once the expiry date is reached the rotator is automatically disabled and removed from the website
- Expiry by impressions - once the rotator has been displayed the number of defined times it is automatically disabled and removed from the website
- Expiry by clicks - once the rotator has been clicked the number of defined times it is automatically disabled and removed from the website
- You can be notified by email when your rotators expire
- This feature provides an opportunity for you to sell advertising space on you website to 3rd party organisations if you configure a rotator to hyperlink to a location outside of your website.
