Website Defaults

The Default Page
Crystal CMS allows you to specify which of the pages in your website will be served as the default page (default.aspx) and this is the page that serves / acts as the root page for your website. When your first page is created, the system automatically assigns this as the default page. However the default page drop down list in the website configuration page in the control panel contains a list of all pages in your website and you can at any time change the default page to whatever page you desire.

The Default Site Contact
Crystal CMS also allows you to specify which of the authors in your website will be the default website contact. The default website contact is the individual who will receive all emails that are sent from Crystal CMS. These emails will include:

  • Emails from your website visitors that contact you via contact form web pages that you create in the Crystal CMS.
  • Emails from the Crystal CMS system to notify about expiry of your configured rotators (read about rotating content here).
  • Occasional emails from us at Crystal CMS to notify about new features and other system related subjects. We promise to never email spam or execute hard sell marketing email campaigns to registered users of our system.
