The Content Manager

The Crystal CMS content manager is a single location that enables web authors and managers to create new and edit existing webpages. The user interface has been designed so that the menu navigation system for the front end of your website is built automatically from the way the pages are located in the content manager. This is what the content manager looks like:

As you can see from the screenshot the user interface is clean and simple and allows the creation of content in any of the menu areas; top, left and bottom. For each of the menu regions there is a small toolbar which provides access to create and edit content items in that menu region.

A right click on any of the existing pages or folders displays a useful context menu for quick access to functions for that item e.g. in the context menu, pages and folders can be moved up and down within their containing menu and single click edit and delete functions are also accessible.

Folders
A Crystal CMS folder is a special concept that allows sub-menus to be created that can contain webpages and also other folders. This enables you to create multi-level menus for your website that dynamically flyout on hover. Folders are supported in all three of the menu regions and we are sure you have already noticed that we use them extensively in this website in our left menu.
